Local Towing Company Provides Load Shift Service for Driver Carrying Bales of Compressed Trash
Falzone Towing recently utilized a new tool when they were called for a load shift service in Bloomsburg, PA. A cargo driver was transporting bales of compressed trash from Connecticut to Ohio. About halfway through his journey, his load, unfortunately, shifted causing his trailer to lean to one side.
Always at the cutting edge of the latest towing and recovery techniques, the Falzone team was happy to provide an innovative solution. Falzone’s is always interested to invest in the latest equipment and they were able to use paper air pillows during this recovery.
Once the load shift service crew arrived at the location, they got to work with this smart solution. First, they utilized the air cushions and cribbing along with air compressors to slide the cargo back into the middle of the trailer.
Some trash bales were secured with strapping, while others had the air pillows put into place. The crew inflated them to prevent the load from shifting while in transport. These air pillows are good for one-time use and allow the driver to continue on his way to his destination.

Falzone Towing recently provided their load shift service for a customer in Bloomsburg, PA. The customer called in from a location near Interstate 80 requesting a professional load shift service. The Falzone Towing crew was happy to help and brought with them a rotator wrecker, service truck, and air pillow.
This load shift service job was not quite a tow but a recovery situation. The customer’s load, which was bales of compressed trash, shifted inside their trailer, causing the trailer to lean severely to one side. Thankfully, he safely made it to a truck stop where he parked and called the load shift service.
The load shift service team from Falzone answered the call to evaluate and assist in re-centering the load and securing it, allowing the customer to make it safely to their destination. Once arriving at the location, the load shift service team got to work.
The load shift service crew utilized air cushions and cribbing along with air compressors to slide the cargo back into the middle of the trailer. This process took time as they had to move each bale back to its necessary position. Once completed, some bales were secured with strapping, while others had air pillows put into place to prevent the bales from sliding side to side.
This cargo initially came out of Connecticut and was transported to Ohio. The cargo was about halfway to its destination when the load shifted and the driver needed to call a load shift service for help. The entire load shift service operation took the crew 6 hours in total.
